Highly Forgiving Ping G20 Irons Review

With the G20 irons, you’ll hit the ball long but with distance control. Perimeter weighting and a deep cavity design, the 17-4 stainless steel heads are highly forgiving.
The Ping G20 Irons are designed to hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control. Ping have added extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity back of the irons which makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving.
The club face has a darker finish than the G15 that helps reduce glare. The club head also had more of a satin finish and not as “rough” as previous versions. Additionally, PING has done a very good job of hiding the wide sole at address; providing a clean, thin look that resembles more of a Eye2 iron than golf clubs.
Ping G20 Irons features a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the g20 Iron helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.
The G20 iron set is very similar to the G15′s, with a slightly wider sole. Cheap Golf Clubs for Sale The cavity of these irons features a very similar look to the G15′s but with a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The steel shafts also look new, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, with a unique and interesting feel.
The multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves the feel and sound of the club, while the cavity’s floating CTP structure stabilises the G20′s thin face to generate fast ball speeds. The Ping G20 Irons come with PING’s CFS (standing for Control, Feel, Stability) steel shaft.
The sound and feel of the Ping G20 irons at impact were every bit as good as the G15 and the flight was maybe slightly higher thanks to the extra weight in the sole. However get custom fitted by Ping to and you will get a set of G20 irons that will help you get the distance and trajectory to suit your game.
The Ping G20 Irons come in 3 iron to lob wedge or you can blend in the excellent G20 hybrid instead of the long irons. There are four flexes of shaft in either the TFC 169i graphite shafts or a new CFS steel shaft for ‘control, feel and stability ’ which was lovely to hit. Overall the G20 iron is a bit more evolution than revolution, but this is still going to be one of the best irons in the market for mid-handicappers.
